After the date of 6th April 2015, IELTS and Trinity College London exams will be the only two approved secure English Language Testing systems used to support UK visa applications. Since the TCL exams must be taken in its exam centers in UK, IELTS will remain as the only approved worldwide exams for UK visas.
The change also means that Pearson Test of English Academic, TOEFL and ESOL will no longer be designated. All currently approved exams taken before April 5 will still be accepted until November 2015.
